Achieved an almost full round for Body Love Blueprint 2016!!!! It is always amazing to reflect on where I started. Two years ago I had one group of 5 girls and today I have 4 groups of 16 ladies and having to (sadly) turn away girls so I can look after the ones I have. What an incredible feeling!!!

I was held back from achieving my goals when…

I used to care A LOT what people thought. It is the biggest obstacle I faced and now thanks to the positive support around me and the amazing books I read, I am not attached to others thoughts and opinions.

I’m a risk taker because…

I don’t only dream big but I DO big. I believe in the beauty of failure and without action your dream will remain just that.

Tell us more about the Body Love Blueprint

From afar it seems like your usual bootcamp but I can assure you it isn’t. It is a 10 week program designed to equip women with the tools and the community to live a life of love, abundance, and health. Each week the girls train together 2-3 times a week, I educate them on the ‘theme of the week’ which ranges from setting goals (clearly Bridge knows wassup!!), gratitude, nutrition (nourish not diet), the art of living in the present and so on. I want to create leaders and support passionate women, so when I can I bring positive female role models in to educate and teach the skills they have (cooking, gymnastics, self defence, etc.) No scales. No measurements. No judgement.

How did you come up with the concept?

I used to weigh myself every week and when I stood on those horrible scales it was almost always a number I didn’t want to see. When I saw that number it would dictate the way I felt about myself, it would dictate the food I ate and the crazy amount of exercise I did. My skin was horrible, my energy levels low, I was constantly getting injured, and I was unhappy. But the last straw for me was seeing my female clients feel the same way. In my first year of personal training I weighed all my clients as I thought that was the way I was supposed to do my job. They came away from those sessions feeling deflated, unworthy, and frustrated. As you can imagine this made me feel worse.. It was an on going cycle that I decided to break on January the 1st 2015. Best. Decision. Ever.

The best part of working with women in the health and fitness industry…

Learning! God I love learning. But also the positivity and drive that these women have is infectious.

My top 3 tips for living a kick-ass fulfilling life…

  1. Feel the fear and do it anyway. Those things you want to do, those things that make you feel warm and fuzzy, that make time fly; that is your calling. Run towards it despite what might (or might not) happen.
  1. Love yourself. Not once you’ve lost weight, when you’ve got a boyfriend, or once you land your dream career. Love yourself for what and where you are right now.
  1. Help others. We need more people like that in this world! When you give your time, money, effort, kindness to someone without expecting anything in return you create an abundance of happiness in others and in yourself. It helps to put your life in perspective and it rewards you more than money or material items ever could.
  1. (bonus woooo!) Practice gratitude. If you’re not grateful for what you have now, what makes you think you’d be happy with more?

My typical day from AM to PM…

A normal day for me…

  • 5am Wake Up
  • 5:30-8am Clients at Les Mills
  • 8am BREAKFAST
  • 9-5am Social Entrepreneurship Accelerator Program (mouthful) called Live The Dream which involves building this body love movement, creating networks, admin, mentoring, presentations, and a whole lot of getting out of my comfort zone!
  • 5:30-7pm Clients at Les Mills
  • 7-8pm Body Love Blueprint!!
  • 8:30pm Dinner
  • 9:30-10:30 Facebook haha (bad)
  • 10:30ish Sleep
