Back on the ball with my Featured Favs! Here are the goodies I’ve been loving lately!

Good Magazine

This is the third issue I have bought of this banger! An absolute treasure of a magazine, bursting with pages that inspire, inform and empower. I love the focus Good has on NZ people, places and products! It is a breath of fresh air compared to some of the other mags it lines up against on the shelves. Feeling totally inspired after reading the article The Importance of Dreaming by Good Editor, Carolyn Enting in the latest issue. “Daydreaming is good for our happiness and health. It inspires, gives us purpose and makes us feel good, We look at why dreaming is a stepping stone to achieving goals and how to tap into that dream time.”

Coffee and Scrub – Orange & Jojoba Coffee Scrub

I’ve been a Frank lover ever since it started being all over the Gram. A couple of months ago I went to repurchase and decided I should seek out a local NZ alternative. Coffee and Scrub is just as good, if not better! I try and use this over my whole body at least every second day – for smooth, moisturised and glowy skin…. but let’s be honest, it happens about once a week. It is also one of the only few products I’ll use on my face – as it is au naturel.

The Jojoba Company – 100% Natural Jojoba & Rosehip Oil

Slather this on before you get into bed and you’ll wake up looking like an oily but very well hydrated goddess. This is another 100% natural product that is part of my daily skincare routine. Provides intense hydration, helps with acne scarring & stretch marks and helps to even skin tone, leaving my face smooth, nourished and radiant!! I also massage it into my luscious eyebrows, it’s gotta be good for them too right?! I have noticed a huge overall difference using this product. A must have beauty product! Did I mention it is 100% natural?

H20

This doesn’t need an explanation. Does it? It’s free. It’s good for you. It’s summer. We’re sweaty and we are thirsty!!!  My water bottle comes with me EVERYWHERE! I try and drink at least two of my 1.25L drink bottles daily – but I always aim for more.  Get the facts from Dr Libby here.

The One Desire – Dolce & Gabanna

If only there was such a thing as smellovision, surely it can’t be far away? This perfume is my jam! Back in the day I repped its sister scent, the original, The One by Dolce & Gabanna. Loved it to bits but the smell was attached to some not so good memories and some not so good people! But dam this is good on a whole other level!! If you’re looking for a new scent, this is you, feminine florals, vanilla, warming sandalwood and lily of the valley! Go sniff!

Fresh Flowers

I’m lucky enough to have access to my Mumma’s blooming garden – you’ll see me out there on sunny days, with my wee woven basket and scissors, picking from an abundance of delicious and gorgeous roses and other beauties. Thanks Mum! Fresh flowers around the house and office instantly lift the mood, add to the decor and in most cases are pleasant for the nostrils. I think picking them and arranging them yourself is half the fun and fulfilment, but if that isn’t an option you can pick them up from a number of places. Keep an eye out on the roadside for pop up signs, if you’re out on the open road, that is where a special someone picked up these gorgeous white lilies. <3

OI – Organic Tampons

Can you actually have favourite tampons? Yes. Of course you can. I stumbled across these in the supermarket and who doesn’t love sussing out all the options down the toiletries aisle. These new pons on the block, are made from certified organic cotton. The wrappers are made from bioplastic, the boxes are recyclable and their inks are made from vegetable dyes. And as one of my goals this year is to Be More responsible when it comes to the environment, these are totally fitting the bill!!!

Whittakers – Fairtrade Dark Ghana Chocolate

Sugar = instant headache for Bridget, so dark choc is one of my go to treats. This block of goodness is sweet enough to indulge my cravings but won’t give me a sugar hangover if I end up eating a few too many squares… ok, you got me, rows!! The Dark Ghana is one of my baking staples. I chop it up into inconsistent chunks for my Banana Coconut Dark Choc muffins <3 Delish! I know you want the recipe, right?
